What happens when you say yes

Four years ago today, I said yes for the first time in my adult life. Granted those who know me well, know that I struggle to say no. But by saying ‘yes’ to October 20th, 2012 my life changed for good.

When I suffered from my worst stages of Depression in my adolescence I just couldn’t ever say yes to life. It’s not that I didn’t want to. I just couldn’t. I was simply to busy trying to survive- and that is by no means being over dramatic  or exaggerating at all, when you have Depression you are robbed of all your energy, motivation, self- worth, confidence, hope, bravery, resilience and any control of your emotions.
