Bollywood in the Himalayas of Kashmir

Who says the snow is all about skiing and boarding?

Here in India, a little bit of singing and dancing in the Himalayas is expected. We learnt from many a Bollywood movie with Sound of Music-esque shots in the mountains professing undying love for one another.

Today I decided to show Tom, my Aussie ski buddy, how it’s done. The ultimate Himalyan love/ dance extravaganza must go to the king and queen of bollywood:

Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan – Humko Humise Chura Lo [HD]

But we did pretty good….

We shook our hips like Chikni Chameli

We did some Desi Boyz moves

and of course I had to get the classic Shah Rukh Khan shoulder waggle in there.

I think there is a Bollywood story in the making here.

All shots are taken in the beautiful mountains of Gulmarg, Kashmir. The Himalayas. At this point we were at approximately 3200m. We were snowboarding and skiing at 3900m. We decided a little comedic relief after lunch would give us the boost we needed for the next runs.
