I’m excited for my birthday, but I’m even more excited that in just 23 Days I’m going to start the adventure of a lifetime. Climbing the largest freestanding mountain in the world, Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.
I undertake this challenge as part of the Climb2Remember team for the benefit of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW. I am actually the champion of this event and was the one who from day 1 helped to get it off the ground. Cannot believe in just 23 short days all that hard work will come to fruition.
I’ve raised a lot of money so far, but my goal is $10,000 and I still have a ways to go! For this bithday, for this year only, I ask for absolutely NO PRESENTS. I don’t want gifts of any kind, all I would like from you is a generous donation to my charity fundraising page.

I will be taking on my biggest Adventure yet, Climbing Kilimanjaro for Alzheimer’s Australia NSW! I will Climb Kilimanjaro in honour of my Grandpa who passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2008. I was in Africa when I found out and I said at the time I would one day do this for him, in his memory! We are raising money for Alzheimer’s Australia NSW to raise awareness and the necessary funds for prevention of the disease that affects so many. Dementia is the third leading cause of death in Australia, after heart disease and stroke. We must prevent and find a cure as it’s not a normal part of aging, and does affect 100,000’s of Australians.
