MY BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP SOON – Sponsor Me

I’m not one for a big countdown but this year I have something big to countdown to. I’ll be 24 on the 20^th August, and yes this is exciting, but I’m more excited for my Climbing of Mt Kilimanjaro.

 

I’m asking my friends and family, and any generous readers, to not send me gifts this year- but instead to donate to my online fundraising page.

A perfect donation would be $24 – $1 for every year that I’ve been alive. But anything you can spare, $5, $10 anything.

 

There are a number of reasons to sponsor me:

 

1. I’m doing this on behalf of Alzheimer’s Australia NSW to raise necessary funds for their education and awareness programs and also to support careers and families living with dementia.
2. In honour of my late Grandpa Jack, who died of Alzheimer’s in 2008. This is my final farewell to him and I want his legacy to live on.
3. I’m climbing a mountain people! This is a huge physical challenge and personal challenge and your sponsorship would be a great show of support.

My birthday is in 9 days!

 

I will be taking on my biggest Adventure yet, Climbing Kilimanjaro for Alzheimer’s Australia NSW!  I will Climb Kilimanjaro in honour of my Grandpa who passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2008. I was in Africa when I found out and I said at the time I would one day do this for him, in his memory! We are raising money for Alzheimer’s Australia NSW to raise awareness and the necessary funds for prevention of the disease that affects so many. Dementia is the third leading cause of death in Australia, after heart disease and stroke. We must prevent and find a cure as it’s not a normal part of aging, and does affect 100,000’s of Australians.
